The energy transition is also a key issue. While the Confederation is reducing its subsidies for energy renovation, it is calling on the cantons and municipalities to take over, by offering financial aid and support programs. The objective: to encourage owners to renovate their assets, to both improve the sustainability of buildings and meet growing demand.
At the same time, densification is identified as a solution to optimize available building areas. “This could notably involve the development of collective housing, better suited to the needs of young households, at more affordable prices than individual villas,” analyzes Benjamin Roduit.
