War in Gaza. Netanyahu announces bounty of five million dollars per released hostage

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced on Tuesday that Israel would give a bounty of five million dollars to anyone who brings back a hostage held in Gaza.

“Anyone who brings a hostage back to us will find with us a safe way for them and their family to get out” of Gaza, Benjamin Netanyahu said in a video filmed inside the Gaza Strip, according to a statement from his desk. “We will also give a reward of five million dollars for each hostage,” he added.

Netanyahu wants to “locate the hostages and bring them back”

Wearing a military helmet and bulletproof vest, Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with his back to the sea in the Netzarim corridor, controlled by the Israeli army in the north of the Gaza Strip. “Anyone who dares to harm our hostages is considered dead. We will chase you and we will catch you,” he said.

Accompanied by his Defense Minister, Israel Katz, the Israeli Prime Minister reaffirmed that one of the objectives of the war is that “Hamas does not govern in Gaza”. “We are also making efforts to locate the hostages and bring them back. We are not giving up on it. We will continue to do this until we have found them all: the living and the dead,” he added.
