At the end of the year, PC gamers are holding their wallets and patiently waiting for January 2025 to learn about the highly anticipated GeForce RTX 50 series graphics cards that Nvidia will announce.
The announcement date for the GeForce RTX 50 series is known: it will be January 6 at 7 p.m., or January 7 at 4 a.m. in Paris. Indeed, Jensen Huang, CEO of Nvidia, is expected on stage at CES in Las Vegas to make the show’s opening presentation.

GeForce RTX 5090: 21,760 CUDA units
The spearhead of the RTX 50 series is of course the GeForce RTX 5090 which must carry no less than 21,760 CUDA units, 32 GB of GDDR7 type video memory and have a power envelope of 600 W.
The 12VHPWR power connector was already confirmed a few weeks ago by a power supply manufacturer. The latter reported the use of a single connector, while a rumor suggested that a second connector could be included. This led to fears of a significant increase in consumption, and this will therefore not be the case.
Ultimately, the GeForce RTX 5090 is rumored to be priced at $1,899. If we apply the current conversion rate and VAT, we arrive at a price of €2,169. The GeForce RTX 4090 was announced two years ago at €1,949 or $1,599, while the GeForce RTX 3090 was available from €1,549. The GeForce RTX xx90 is therefore becoming less and less accessible and will be reserved for professionals or very wealthy gamers.
