Dugarry: “What is Rabiot’s true level?”

At a decent level since his arrival at Olympique de in mid-September – 6 appearances, no goals or assists – the 29-year-old Tricolore shone with the French team against Italy this Sunday, in scoring a double header from a corner, for a 3-1 victory.

On RMCChristophe Dugarry described the qualities of the international, as his ideal progression: “If he transforms a little, by being at the top physically – a bit like (Blaise) Matuidi, when he goes back and forth, with a large volume of play which is his strength. I find that (Adrien) Rabiot was never as strong when he was physically at his best and when he was racing one after the other. Technically, he's a clean player, but he's not a player who creates mismatches, which is incredible. »

Still, the former Marseille striker wanted to put the midfielder's contribution to OM into perspective, affirming that the ex-Juventus player was not going to revolutionize the Marseille team: “Will the Rabiot of yesterday change OM? If he scores two goals per match, obviously, but in my opinion that won't be the case. What is Rabiot’s true level? Today, it's complicated to say. In yesterday's match, I didn't find it sparkling. (…) In the game, I didn’t find incredible things, we shouldn’t exaggerate”.

Delighted with the Blues' match, Adrien Rabiot was greeted by Claude Puel.
