Rural Coordination enters the scene to “undermine the hegemony of the FNSEA”
This Tuesday, the mobilization of farmers is increasing pressure, with now the Rural Coordination which intends to undermine the hegemony of the FNSEA and wishes to “block food freight”.
Second agricultural union, the Coordination rurale (CR) holds its annual congress until Wednesday in Vienne. The union assures that it is ready, if it does not obtain satisfaction, to “block food freight” from November 20, first in the south-west of France.
Opposed like other agricultural unions to the signing by the European Union of a free trade agreement with Mercosur countries (Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay), he also asks for reductions in charges.
At the same time, the troops of the majority FNSEA-Young Farmers (JA) unions remain mobilized for the second day in a row — a program modeled on the two days of the G20 summit in Brazil, to mark opposition to the signing of this trade agreement.
