Very contested match between the RCU and the 1st of the group

A hotly contested match at the Stade du refuge between RCU and the first in the group AS Sigean Port-la-Nouvelle. A match during which the two teams went blow for blow. The visitors opened the scoring and immediately the Ducaux responded. A real ping-pong match with a score tied at half-time 15 to 15. The Ducaux scored four tries over the entire match including one converted and three penalties, Sigean three tries including one converted and four penalties. It all came down to the last 5 minutes. Sigean scored a try in the 76th minute and brought the score to 28-29 to which Uzès responded with a penalty in the 80th minute by sealing the final result 31 to 29. Even if sometimes the RCU players did not provide the individual efforts requested by coach Tommy Bouvier and thus offered fifteen points to the opponent, they were combative. The spectators vibrated, they had thrills identical to those of France – All Blacks. The players came out to applause.

In the opening, team B lost 13 to 15 on a missed tackle offering an unconverted try to the opponent. This young team showed great things, never giving up and taking the defensive point.
