Gard. In a Tesla at 219 km/h, he takes all the risks to flee the police

Soon after 12h, Saturday November 16, 2024the gendarmes of the departmental security squadron saw people passing by, near Daisies (Gard) a Tesla on the A9 motorwayin the direction of Montpellier (Hérault). So far nothing unusual. Except the speed recorded by the military radar: 219 km/h!

He will have to explain his actions before the court of Nimes (Gard) in next April.

Refusal to comply as a bonus

Immediately chased by the powerful Alpine of the Gard gendarmes, the motorist, aged 30 ansdid not want to stop, despite repeated orders from the military.

He suddenly left the highway, at the Nîmes-est exit. Determined to escape the police, he ran a red light and tried to reaccelerate. In vain. The policeman driving the Alpine ended up blocking the fugitive.

The latter was arrested. His license was given to him immediately removed and its Tesla Model Y was placed in administrative impound for a minimum period of 7 days.

Trial in 2025

Placed in police custody for a few hours, the thirty-year-old now finds himself summoned on Monday April 7, 2025. He will have to explain the excessive speed as well as the refusal to comply committed this Saturday November 16.
