“It is a Yes for the future and patriotism”, Raymond Ndong Sima

Libreville, Monday November 18, 2024 (Gabon News) – Gabonese Prime Minister Rymond Ndong Sima reacted this Monday after the publication of the provisional results of the November 16 referendum by the Minister of the Interior and Security, Hermann Immongault.

The results published by the Minister of the Interior give the winning Yes with 91.54% of votes in all polling stations on the national territory and in Gabon’s consular posts abroad. An overwhelming victory to the great happiness of the one who was the National Campaign Coordinator for Yes who evokes the outcome of an inclusive and transparent process which respects the electoral rules.

“This clear victory for Yes provisionally garners 91% of the votes cast with an appreciable participation rate – taking into account the nature, the purpose of the vote and the period in which it was held – of more than 55%”, indicated Raymond Ndong Sima on the social network Facebook.

And added: “It is a Yes for the future and patriotism which involves all the daughters and all the sons of the same country who together carry the dream of a new Gabon to which we all aspire.

For the head of government, this success is collective, which is why he congratulates all the Yes supporters. The latter mobilized on the ground to explain to voters the importance of approving the new constitution that the government submitted for their appreciation.

But it doesn’t stop there. Happy that the ballot boxes have spoken, Raymond Ndong Sima also throws flowers to the No supporters who showed, according to him, a patriotic spirit on the ground and in the various communication media during this election.

“I also salute the civic spirit of those who, in a republican attitude, brought contradiction to this project, thus advancing in our country, a lively but peaceful debate of ideas which enriches our process of democratization, to together build our country in unity,” he concluded.
