Dacia (Renault group) began recalling these models, as a preventive measure, since October 24, 2024, “in order to prevent a potential risk of uncoupling of the so-called R107 connector and therefore, of a breakdown in electrical continuity between the cabling of the engine compartment and cabling of the driving position,” explains the manufacturer to Capital. This type of electrical anomaly can have consequences on the safety and performance of the vehicle, especially if this connector, located near the driving position, is inadvertently uncoupled by the foot. The Dacia brand adds that “in the event of a cut in the electrical circuit between the engine compartment wiring and the driving station wiring, several customer effects could occur such as loss of traction while driving and loss of steering assistance. , as well as non-functional airbags and automatic parking brake. Each fault is indicated by the illumination of red lights and a message on the dashboard. No incidents have yet been reported.
