Fibois France brings together 12 regional inter-professional associations in the forest-timber sector. Every year, since 2012, the National Wood Construction Prize has been organized to highlight achievements made from local wood or from sustainably managed forests. Municipalities can be winners in 8 categories. A special prize also rewards a construction. The Missillac market hall was a winner in the Exterior design category and won the prize out of 65 applications! A success which will go down in the annals for Reynald Roussel, head of studies at the town hall, as well as for the Nantes architectural firm Laus, even if the latter have already been rewarded… The market hall triggers astonishment and admiration: with its A fully visible Douglas pine structure and its larch roof reminiscent of the roofs of Asian pagodas, its creation called on the know-how of local companies, who, through this recognition, are also gratified…
