Heavy rain is expected in the north-west of France on Monday, in particular from Seine-Maritime to Pas-de-Calais, via the Somme coast.
The north-west of France in the rain this Monday. Heavy rainfall is expected to affect the departments of Seine-Maritime, Pas-de-Calais and Somme this Monday, November 18, as part of the arrival of a disturbance in the northern part of the country.
Seine-Maritime is in this context placed on yellow rain-flood vigilance from Monday midday until at least the end of the day. Météo-France also specifies that on the coastal part of the department, “in a context of high tidal coefficients, strong waves from the west to the northwest are expected”.
Gusts ahead
The meteorological agency more generally mentions “sustained rain from Normandy to Hauts-de-France and is accompanied by a westerly wind blowing in gusts between 50 and 60 km/h”.
Between Monday midday and Tuesday morning, “the accumulations could reach 60 to 90 mm, corresponding to 2 to 3 weeks of precipitation in the month of November”, in these areas, specifies La Chaîne Météo.
