The research and intervention brigade (BRI) took up position at midday around a pizzeria in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Île-de-France). A man armed with a knife took four people hostage. He ended up being arrested.
In the video images, the door to the pizzeria finally opens, allowing police officers from the search and intervention brigade to evacuate one of the hostages from the establishment as quickly as possible. They are ready to intervene if the situation escalates. The four employees were finally taken out of the restaurant safe and sound. They have just spent nearly three hours at the scene of the hostage situation, locked up with their boss armed with a knife. On the balcony opposite, neighbors were able to watch the long hours of negotiations.
The hostage taking took place in a pizzeria in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Île-de-France). Around 1 p.m., the manager, son of the owners, abruptly closes the curtain and retreats. The suspect was arrested, he is known to the police for drug cases, insults and violence. According to information from France Télévisions journalists, the young man’s mother had called the Samu on Saturday, November 16 in the morning to say that her son was craving cocaine.
