Rugby: a young 15-year-old player collapses during a match, he is revived on the pitch then airlifted to hospital in absolute emergency

Concern is still very high this Saturday, November 16 in the evening, in the town of Linxe, in the Landes. As revealed Southwestthe afternoon Rugby match was marked by drama.

When the match had just ended, around 3:30 p.m., one of the team's young players, aged 15, suddenly collapsed on the lawn of the municipal stadium while he was greeting his opponents.

The spectators then become aware of the seriousness of the situation, and a firefighter and a former nurse immediately help the young boy, using a defibrillator, while waiting for help to arrive.

They will try to revive the young man for several minutes. They will manage to stabilize it.

But the teenager needs to be transported to Bayonne hospital. Thus, the authorities asked spectators to evacuate the stadium, so that the emergency helicopter could land on the pitch and transport the victim, thus evacuated in a coma and in absolute emergency.
