Jacob Fowler is ejected from the game after a blocker hits a player in the face

Jacob Fowler is the Canadian’s best prospect in goal and he proves once again this season how dominant he can be with Boston College.

Last year he was one of the best goalkeepers in the NCAA at just 18 years old and as a rookie, but this season he seems to have found another level that’s even more impressive.

In 8 games before tonight, he had a 7-1-0 record, a 1.26 goals-against average and a .950 save percentage.

Absolutely phenomenal stats.

Tonight, Boston College ranked 2nd in the country, faced UConn who escaped with a 5-4 victory.

During this meeting, in the 2nd period, Fowler lost patience after an opposing player collided with him while scoring a goal.

The CH hopeful hit him with a blocker directly in the face. You can see the sequence right here:

Fowler was ejected from the match following this action.

It now remains to be seen whether the league will decide to apply an additional disciplinary measure by giving him one or more game suspensions.

To be continued.
