Controversy at What Talent! after revealing who wins

It was finally Thursday evening that What talent! has revealed who wins the first season and it is the young formation Stardust which obtains the top honors. However, this announcement provoked a ton of reactions on social media and Internet users did not hesitate to make their dissatisfaction known.

Stardust officially wins season 1 of What talent! on the airwaves of Noovo.

Personally, I loved the journey of these young dancers and they are extremely talented.

However, several fans of the show disagree with the winning lineup and they do not hesitate to make their dissatisfaction known.

On social media, a user posted this:

« Well done to Stardust but very critically, it should never have even been in the top 3.

Choreographies already used in other shows as well as very amateur level dance with several technical errors hidden by the group effect. We know that groups represent a lot of basic votes.

On one side we have stardust. Is it entertaining yes, are they good… meh, are they replaceable… very easily.

On the other
Rick Duff: A country talent very rarely seen across Quebec who is not replaceable

Nathan Lignon: Composers and performers with only 3 years of experience. Completely unique and irreplaceable, and a talent probably unrivaled on a global scale.

Lil Zack: Brings a new look to dance with choreographies that come completely out of his head with complex, diverse and technical movements.

So hey, they’re cute, they’re okay, but far from being the most talented of the season »

The comments are extremely numerous on the publication. A woman named Ginette writes: “ For me they were fourth. If the vote would have paid off that would have changed. Sorry I had predicted a vote for a group because if there was a fee it would have been third place. Sorry but not worth the price. So if you’re honest, would you be willing to pay for a show to see them for 1h30 at a minimum of $20.00? I don’t but they were entertaining for a 10 minute show on . Sorry even though I liked them. »

Diane also goes in the same direction: “ 100% agree. Congratulations anyway to statrdust. For me it was between Nathan and lil Zack. But hey I like listening to these shows they are all talented. »

Marjolaine is furious with the result and her choice was Nathan: “ Cowboys…. easy to replace…. there are a lot of them…. but Nathan, without any piano studies, with multiple disabilities…..composing and playing the piano like that, he is the RARE PEARL…..that this show made us discover! »

Opinions are mixed and other Internet users do not hesitate to come to Stardust’s defense.

Sabrina writes: “ I understand your point of view, however I for one am very happy that Stardust won.
Are they the best dancers in Quebec? No, and everyone is aware of that.

However, I for my part voted for them, since their choreographies were exceptionally creative! “Choreographies already used in other shows”?? What shows?? The choreography with Serge was 100% made FOR what talent, they used the audio from the recordings of the show, the young person’s costume was the exact replica of that of Serge a few weeks earlier and everything….

Furthermore, the involvement of parents in the design of the sets and costumes shows that everything had not been done 5 years earlier.

The necessary imagination of every detail felt so good!!! Furthermore, the dynamism and fun that the young people had on stage was really refreshing, so they fully deserved to win in my opinion.

Finally, Rick, Nathan, Lil Zack and the others all CLEARLY have fulfilling careers waiting for them in their respective fields, while I sincerely believe that the money made by Stardust will help them in their projects!

It is very difficult for organizers of dance troupes to obtain funding to push their projects ever further, this money will greatly help the organizers to expand their business and offer even better services to our young Quebec dancers who take great pleasure in dance for them! Long live Stardust! ???? »

Maurice specifies: “ You are so downplaying what Stardust has accomplished. It’s your comment that’s “meh”. It takes a lot of talent and confidence to achieve everything they did, and they convinced four judges as well as Quebec. It must be worth something. »
