“It is better [que les gendarmes] grab them before we know who they are… Because I'm going to take them, but in pieces, in a suitcase!” It was with these words that Marie-Thérèse Garcia tried to comfort one of her nephews in January 2023, after the tragic discovery of the body of her daughter, Leslie, 22, and her boyfriend, Kévin, in a wood in Deux-Sèvres, a crime which seems linked to drugs.
At the time, the one we nicknamed “Ma Dalton” was under surveillance for several years. She was in fact suspected of being involved in the kidnapping, sequestration and dismemberment of her friend and sister-in-law, Corinne Di Dio.
A very dark affair
In 1995, the trunk of this 37-year-old saleswoman working at Bouygues was found in a metal trunk thrown into the Seine, before being formally identified two years later.
The police quickly suspected Marie-Thérèse Garcia of being responsible for this murder by “jealousy“because Corinne Di Dio would have had an affair with Marie-Thérèse's companion, a thug named Francisco M.-G., during a vacation in Spain.
However, the mother defended herself by affirming that she had spent that day with the victim's son, Romain, aged 10, thus underlining the strong ties she had with the victim.
Nancy, the suspect's daughter, nevertheless told the police that she had heard her mother talking about the procedure used to “cut out” one person, reports Paris Match. She also referred to her mother as “serpent“and of”liar capable of anything“, describing it as a criminal with a dark heartcapable of carrying a woman's corpse into his laundry room to make it disappear.
For her part, Bettina, Nancy's daughter, also under wiretapping, was heard telling her dealer that she had witnessed, as a child, an atrocious scene involving a woman.to be cut into pieces“.
Francisco M.-G. as for him, told the police that his ex-partner had confessed to him “to have had his revenge” et “taking care of Corinne“.
Marie-Thérèse Garcia referred to the Assize Court
