This Sunday, November 17, the seniors of the Rugby Club Revelois (RCR) will welcome the Millas club to the municipal stadium for a championship day which promises to be intense.
After several lackluster matches, the Revel first team hopes to regain confidence against a tough opponent. The day will begin at 1:30 p.m. with the match of team B, which is aiming for a decisive result to move into the upper part of the ranking, being tied with Millas.
A positive dynamic
Since the last defeats against Bédarieux, Sigean and Plages d'Orb, the RCR has implemented intensive training and more rigorous monitoring, with collective exercises to develop cohesion between the first team and the reserve.
“We have intensified our work in training to develop a real group spirit. We all train together, and that strengthens our solidarity on the pitch,” underlines Rémi Bousquel, player and club secretary. This homogeneity could pay off against Millas, while the last match against Bédarieux saw the first team falter, particularly during the first minutes of play.
The ambition is still there
A new strategy tested during this meeting, segmenting the halves into successive blocks, has not yet borne fruit, but the team remains determined to refine its tactics. Facing Millas, the RCR hopes to take advantage of the support of its home crowd to score valuable points in the standings.
Despite a face damaged by the latest results, the club continues to progress with the ambition of establishing itself in the regional competition and restoring the image of its senior teams.
The young people from the RCR rugby school are continuing their training with a meeting planned in Gruissan this weekend.
