Intersport finally launches its ultra practical electric bike which impresses with its price

Expected for September or even October, the new Nakamura Crosscity+ from Intersport is finally available in November. This electric bike which belongs to the category of midtail offers a very attractive equipment-price ratio, which could well appeal to couples and families.

« We are aiming for October»: this is what an Intersport representative announced to us during a press day organized last June. We finally had to wait until mid-November for the brand new Nakamura Crosscity+ to be officially launched, as we learn from a press release sent to the editorial staff.

Ultra well equipped

This model targets two user targets: couples who live in the city, and families. How ? Thanks to its so-called format midtailwhich allows it to accommodate an additional adult or a child thanks to a slightly extended rear axle. Its length nevertheless remains shorter than that of a longtailhence the term midtail.

Nakamura is once again doing Nakamura by offering an ultra-well equipped electric bike as standard: reinforced rear luggage rack (60 kg of support and MIK compatible), footrest, cushion, safety handle and front luggage rack (10 kg of support). Guaranteeing such a level of equipment is truly the group’s trademark.

Another strong point of the bike: the presence of a Naka E-Power One central motor with a torque of 70 Nm. Let’s say that at 2200 euros, it is relatively rare today to come across VAEs equipped with a motorized centralized, which, combined with a torque sensor, should guarantee natural and responsive electrical behavior.

A more generous battery

Other good news: Intersport was banking on a 460 Wh battery last June, but ultimately a 504 Wh accumulator was preferred. This energy capacity should guarantee it a maximum range of 80 km, probably in Eco mode. Warning: several factors influence autonomy (assistance mode, weight, elevation).

One assistance mode in particular is getting more attention: Naka Smart, which automatically adjusts the power according to road conditions and your needs. This is a mode that is becoming more and more popular among engine manufacturers and manufacturers: Bosch, for example, has had its own for some time now.

An entry-level transmission

Tektro 4-piston hydraulic disc brakes, 24-inch tires (“no name” brand) or even 8-speed Shimano Altus transmission – relatively entry-level, therefore –, here is what you should remember from the rest of the technical sheet . Intersport says its Nakamura Crosscity+ is already available in stores and online. After checking, we still haven’t seen anything on his site.

The Nakamura Crosscity+ is launched at a price of 2,200 euros, not counting the various national and regional aid which can drop its price below 2,000 euros.
