AND ANNOUNCES A RECORD WINTER PROGRAM AND A 13e AIRPORT IN MOROCCO

Ryanair, Europe’s leading airline, announced today (November 13) that it will begin serving Dakhla Airport from January 2025, with 2 new routes to Spain, connecting the region to the Spanish capital Madrid, as well as Lanzarote. The two lines will operate twice a week as part of the company’s 2024/25 winter program, promoting the development of inbound tourism to Dakhla from Spain – while offering Moroccan citizens and visitors lines at the lowest fares of Europe. Dakhla will thus become the thirteenth airport in Ryanair’s Moroccan network, strengthening the company’s investment in the Kingdom.

This expansion is part of the largest winter program ever launched by Ryanair in Morocco, with more than 1,000 weekly flights (+30% compared to winter 2023) spread over 157 routes, including 36 new connections to/from 13 Moroccan airports (including 11 domestic lines) and an increase in frequencies on more than 40 other routes. This program is based on the presence of 14 aircraft based in Morocco (investment of $1.4 billion), supporting more than 7,000 direct and indirect jobs and stimulating economic growth in 13 cities, including Rabat, Marrakech, Fez, Agadir, Tetouan, Essaouira and Nador.

Ryanair’s record-breaking 2024/25 winter program will include:

  • 14 aircraft based (investment of $1.4bn) – 7 in Marrakech, 3 in Fez, 2 in Agadir and 2 in Tangier
  • A new base in Tangier, since summer 2024
