Broadcast on Netflix, the series follows Taylor (played by Melvin Boomer), a young fighter who dreams of becoming professional, and his trainer, Boss played by Franck Gastambide himself.

Franck Gastambide imagines the potential plot of season 2
To make this project realistic, director Franck Gastambide collaborated with MMA legends, including Georges Saint-Pierre, Jon Jones and Cyril Gane. Launched on the Netflix platform on November 15, 2024, the five-episode series is a real success. So, after a shocking first season and an explosive finale, spectators hope to see Taylor and Boss again in a sequel.
Asked by Technikart MagazineFranck Gastambide n.a not excluded the possibility of a season 2 pour The Cage. Although it is not “not an MMA specialist”the French actor and director is a long-time enthusiast of this sport which he discovered in Los Angeles.
Netflix has not yet confirmed
Following the success of the series, he began to imagine a potential intrigue for a new season. Although Netflix has yet to confirm a sequel.
Finally, what can be interesting to deal with in a season 2 of La Cage, is that the greatest violence for a fighter is not ultimately in La Cage, it is much more now in the media world, in the networks, in the public which is intransigent. So maybe this can be the sequel to The Cage, the violence outside the cage too.
