Intercontinental Cup: a mixed match to decide between the continents?

This is information which requires verification by the International Federation of Padel. In the format proposed for the Intercontinental Cupwhere the best players in the world will compete, the difference compared to the Worlds would be the introduction, for the first time officially by the FIP, of a mixed opposition.

This mixed format would therefore not count as a official rankingbut could be used to decide between the two continents in the event of a perfect tie.

For theArgentinelogic would dictate that Delfina Breacurrently the only player in the world top 10, is associated with Agustín Tapia. This pair would bring together the talents of two of the best Argentinian representatives of padel.

On the side ofSpainthe FIP seems to direct its choice towards an association between Ari Sanchez et Arturo Coello. This decision is consistent, given that Ari Sánchez’s usual partner, Paula Josemaríais left-handed, which could complicate a possible association between two left-handers. Thus, associating Ari Sánchez with Arturo Coello would form a balanced and competitive pair.
