Just six months ago, a chess club was created in five municipalities in the Aven region: in Trévoux, Bannalec, Rédené, Riec-sur-Bélon and Pont-Aven, initiative of Fabrice Freel, chess player.
The lessons are taught by this facilitator, a graduate of the French Chess Federation, who makes learning accessible to everyone, from 7-year-old children to 97-year-old adults. On Tuesday evening after school, ten young Trévoltois are welcomed at the Maison pour tous, where they learn the rules of this game.
« At Trévoux, we have more than tripled our workforce. It's a shame that the adults have not yet joined in.” deplores Fabrice Freel.
For those interested, he suggests setting up a class at 6 p.m., after the children's class.
Despite everything, he is pleased that today, the association, throughout the country, has a membership of 61 members. In addition, he also works in five primary schools in the area, including Le Trévoux with the Class'Échec program.
An operation that he will soon develop at the Mellac school.
