Werewolves: so who won?

An Assembly to win everything (or not)

At the end of episode 6, we knew two things: firstly, that the last wolf in the game was in reality Stéphane (which the players did not know), and secondly, that Alexane, the clairvoyant, had discovered the identity of the other wolf still in the running, Charlie. The village therefore seemed on track to bring down at least one of the wolves in the game, even though the last assembly looked decisive for victory.

Indeed, the players being only six to five, once Dylan was devoured during the last Council of Wolves, the upcoming elimination proved crucial. If the villagers managed to eliminate one of the wolves, they found themselves 3 to 1, and the game was almost won. However, if they inadvertently condemned one of them, they would lose their numerical superiority… and hand victory to the wolves.

Too much strategy kills strategy?

Faced with increasing pressure to do the right thing, the villagers proved increasingly divided. Stéphane, for his part, still escaped any real suspicion; Alexane and Nesrine were more suspicious of Edwin. The latter, like Dylan, accused Alexane. However, everyone was convinced that Charlie was one of the wolves.

However, the remaining villagers did not, against all expectations, unite against Charlie during the last Assembly. The reason for this change of heart? A strategy imagined by Alexane, which consisted of forming an alliance with Charlie not to eliminate him, with the aim of making him the only remaining wolf. The poker player wanted to vote against Edwin, just like Nesrine. A risky bet, which, according to her, should allow the village to win more easily… But which backfired on her.

Failed bluff

Full of her schemes, Alexane was unable to see clearly into her opponents' game, and let herself be fooled by Charlie and Stéphane. The players therefore chose by majority the captain of the game, who despite his attempts, failed to prove his innocence… And thus sealed the fate of the village, ensuring the victory of the wolves.

“I sinned out of pride” admitted Alexane, disappointed by this defeat, but admiring of the wolves’ strategy. As for Stéphane, all the participants admitted that he had clearly been the most impressive player of the game, since he remained (almost) unsuspected until the end. In short, the village fell asleep for the last time… until the next season.
