The France-Israel match scheduled for Thursday, November 14 is causing concern. 4,000 police forces will be mobilized, but the Israeli authorities advise supporters not to attend the meeting.
The France-Israel match will take place Thursday November 14 at the Stade de France (Seine-Saint-Denis). The Élysée announced it on Sunday November 10: Emmanuel Macron will be in the stands “as a sign of fraternity and solidarity” according to those around him. The violence after the meeting between Ajax Amsterdam and Maccabi Tel-Aviv is still on everyone’s minds. Groups of individuals attacked Israeli supporters.
The Israeli authorities are calling for the greatest caution, or even not going to the match. The prefecture will mobilize 4,000 police officers, twice as many as for a normal match, around the Stade de France but also in transport on the routes taken by spectators. The football federation will provide 1,600 security agents. For the moment, only 20,000 tickets have been sold, far from the 80,000 places available.
