The conclusions of the autopsy on the death of Minister Mamadou Moustapha Ba shake up the investigation. Contrary to initial assumptions, the results suggest that the death could be of suspicious origin. The Prosecutor's Office announces that the burial is postponed, time to carry out in-depth investigations to shed light on this disturbing matter.
“The results of the autopsy ordered to determine the causes of the death of Minister Mamadou Moustapha BA revealed several elements which are likely to attest that the death was not natural,” we read in a note made public by the Public Prosecutor.

“For the purposes of investigations which require additional investigative acts, the formalities linked to the procedure for lifting the body and burial are postponed to a later date. », adds the note.
It should be remembered that the plane carrying the remains arrived at Blaise Diagne International Airport (AIBD) around 9:20 p.m. After disembarkation, the body was transferred to the Freight area of the airport, before leaving the scene at 11:10 p.m. aboard a Customs hearse, heading to the Ouakam military hospital. The remains were accompanied by a gendarmerie motorcyclist, officials, as well as family members and relatives.

Arriving at the Ouakam military hospital around 11:45 p.m., the remains were transferred from the Customs car to a fire brigade ambulance stationed at the morgue. At 12:05 a.m., the ambulance left the Ouakam military hospital for the Principal Hospital in Dakar, where the autopsy was carried out, arriving at 12:30 a.m.
However, contrary to the information reporting the results of the French doctor attesting that the death of Mamadou Moustapha Ba was natural, the prosecution through a press release informs that “The results of the autopsy ordered to determine the causes of the death of Minister Mamadou Moustapha BA have revealed several elements which are likely to attest that the death was not natural.”
