IN PICTURES – “Good luck! Good seas!” : last day at the dock for the Vendée Globe skippers before the big departure

This Saturday, only authorized people could access the pontoon of the Vendée Globe24 hours from big departure. Each skipper’s teams worked hard to bring fresh food on board. Many also slipped Christmas gifts that the sailors will open on D-Day, far from their loved ones. This Sunday the skippers will leave the pontoon every three minutes between 8 a.m. (Charlie Dalin) and 9:57 a.m. (Violette Dorange). Then, they will go down the channel before joining the waiting area offshore, for the departure scheduled for 1:02 p.m.
