FC Équeurdreville-Hainneville (Manche) hosts La Ferté-Macé this Saturday November 9, 2024 at 6 p.m., for the 7e day of Regional 1. Interview with Gaëtan Hardouin, FCEH coach.

To win this Saturday evening, will you have to be more effective than against Mézidon?

That's it, even if I think we were rather clumsy last Saturday.

Is this something you worked on this week?

No, not particularly. It was a usual week with athletic work. In terms of the game, we want to keep what we have been doing since the start of the season. Maybe two or three players are not yet at 100% of their psychological or physical capacities but I think that at some point, it will end up paying off.

“Relieve the pressure of results”

La Ferté-Macé will undoubtedly be a direct opponent for maintenance. What kind of match can we expect?

It is a team which will be grouped at the back and which will offer a lot of duels and long balls. For our part, we are not going to adapt our composition but rather try to press on the opposing weak points. The idea will also be to circulate the ball more quickly, to create rhythm to try to cause them problems.

A defeat could create a hole between your two teams. Will your role be to free the players?

The boys have set themselves a target of taking seven points from the three-match home series. We took one against Mézidon so the objective will be to win the next two. But you have to manage to relieve the pressure of the result because that would be the best way to foil.

The FCEH has the third attack in the championship with nine goals scored. On the other hand, the Équeurdrevillais have the worst defense with eighteen goals conceded.
