Saturday September 21, in Dole, in Jura, thirteen candidates were in the running. That evening, Manon Le Maou, originally from Doubs, was crowned Miss Franche-Comté, thus obtaining her ticket for the Miss France competition scheduled for December 14 at the Arena Futuroscope in Poitiers. Shortly before midnight, his name rang out in the Commanderie room, where the election was taking place. The young woman, adorned with the tiara and the coveted scarf, made an impression. She succeeds Jura native Sonia Coutant. In February 2024, at 27 ansshe had already won the title of Miss Doubs. Manon Le Maou was born in Villers Saint-Martin and grew up in Baume-les-Dames.
Her career, combining a career in the gendarmerie and participation in beauty contests, may seem unusual, but it is one of her greatest sources of pride. She values this professional experience which she sees as a real asset. “It’s a job that allows me to help people in difficulty”she underlined in her presentation video for Miss Franche-Comté. Manon Le Maou worked as a gendarme in Alsace, Île-de-France and Corsicabefore putting his career on hold to devote himself fully to the regional election.
Manon Le Maou was able to narrowly claim the regional title
A literature student, the young woman quickly turned towards a military career. At 1m74 tall, the latter was narrowly able to claim the regional title. Indeed, The Miss Franche-Comté competition now allows women to enter this election up to the age of 27.
Miss Franche-Comté is a great protector of the animal cause
The new Miss Franche-Comté is an animal lover. “I have five dogs and three cats”she revealed. And to add: “A cause that is particularly close to my heart is the fight against animal abuse. Thanks to my work, I have had the opportunity to rescue animals in distress, sometimes in very serious situations. It is an enriching experience. “ Manon Le Maou also devotes part of her time to the Besançon SPA, where she regularly volunteers, notably to walk the animals. A cause that she will be able to carry during her presentation in the Miss France 2025 election.
Manon (Miss Franche-Comté 2024) calls on her community
“On December 14, I will be on the stage of Miss France 2025 with only one idea in mind: to go all the way. At 28 years old, I am the oldest of the elected Miss Franche-Comté, and I am ready to prove that 'there is no age to realize your dreams when passion drives you'she wrote in the caption of an Instagram publication where she is in a white dress, adorned with her Miss Franche-Comté 2024 scarf. Very determined, Manon Le Maou adds that her job as a gendarme taught her to “never back down from the unknown”. Addressing her thousands of followers on the social network, Manon concludes: “This is not a battle I will fight alone. I need you, your energy, your support. Together, let's make Franche-Comté shine like never before. I'm taking you on this adventure, so be by my side on December 14. This is our moment”.
