your doctor doesn’t take notes about your symptoms

In a report produced by TF1, a seemingly ordinary scene takes place between a couple of patients and their general practitioner. Except that while the doctor talks to his patient, a discreet AI records the entire conversation. As soon as the consultation is over, the practitioner just has to click on “Generate summary” to obtain an exhaustive report, written in real time by artificial intelligence.

A real relief for doctors, who can now concentrate fully on their interaction with the patient. “ I no longer take notes, I just talk with my patients, which is really much more pleasant. », Testifies Doctor Marie Msika Razon, a Parisian general practitioner.

According to the companies behind this project, the use of AI would reduce the time spent on note-taking by doctors by 70%. A significant saving of time, which translates into better quality of listening and patient care.

AI also plays medical secretaries in teleconsultation booths, notably with the partnership between one of the most popular videoconferencing platforms, Zoom, and Suki, a company specializing in AI solutions for the health sector. Here again, Suki is responsible for recording the exchanges between patients and practitioners, then generating a precise report of the teleconsultation.
