Fire in Saint-Malachie: the Hells allegedly attacked a former seller

The arson that occurred in a chalet in Saint-Malachie last week was allegedly ordered by the Hells Angels, who attacked a former salesman, now in the clan of kingpin Dave “Pic” Turmel.

The owner of the chalet burned on the night of October 28 to 29 would be a former sympathizer of powerful criminal bikers, well known to the police, according to our information.

However, his relations with the Hells Angels were not always good.

Police believe the individual accumulated a large drug debt to his former partners and began selling for the rival group, the Blood Family Mafia, led by fugitive kingpin Dave “Pic” Turmel.

A few weeks ago, the man from Saint-Malachie was allegedly beaten up by the men of Hells Angels (HA) Mathieu Pelletier, our informants report.

“It’s been shuffled around a bit. They cut his hair,” one of them said.

Arson

Then, on the night of October 28 to 29, his chalet on Chemin Royer, in Saint-Malachie, was set on fire during his absence.

According to the police theory, a 19-year-old young man from Lévis, as well as a 17-year-old teenager, who was then on the run from a youth center, were notably mandated by the bikers to set it on fire, in exchange of several thousand dollars.

However, the affair turned into a tragedy when the 19-year-old suffered major injuries (see other text). The minor, injured more superficially, has since returned to the youth center.

Another HA response

The fire in Saint-Malachie would represent another response from the Hells Angels, in the context of the drug war which has been raging since 2023 in the east of the province.

André Bourgoin, a former trafficker linked to the Hells Angels, was killed on September 7 during an altercation in Mont-Joli. The same day, former trafficker Patrick Laurendeau, convicted in 2006 following an anti-drug strike targeting the Hells Angels, was the victim of an attempted murder allegedly ordered by the bikers.

Two weeks later, in an internal memo obtained by our Bureau of Investigation, the Quebec City Police Department estimated that current members of the HA, their sympathizers and former collaborators “who have done nothing to protect image” of the group could be victims of reprisals.

Let us recall that since the start of this confrontation, which has raged since 2023 in the east of the province, the Blood Family Mafia has allegedly committed a series of violent crimes targeting relatives of the Hells Angels, in an attempt to obtain control of drug trafficking. narcotics.
