Steam has just added a feature expected by many players on their launcher and which adds the possibility of recording your gaming sessions with a small feature.
Available for several years on console, it is now possible to do it on PC without the restrictions linked to the closed hardware of consoles. Indeed, on PlayStation et Xbox The maximum time that can be recorded is your last hour of play.
The system that offers Steam allows it to record your gaming sessions indefinitely, to configure the quality of the recording which will be made in .MP4 format and to create a global setting or for each game. You can also select the passages that interest you, rewatch for a moment of your game and of course share them with whoever you want.
But where Steam innovates, it is with the Timeline which offers a new system, it is in the functioning of its timeline, with the addition of marker, note and game information. These new functionalities can then be used by the players but also by developers, on all PCs but also on the Steam Deck.
