A ping-pong table set up in the golden lounges of the Élysée Palace! Alexis Lebrun was the guest of honor of the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron, Tuesday November 5. Bronze medalist at the Paris Olympic Games with his little brother Félix, the 21-year-old table tennis player had just returned from the WTT Champions in Frankfurt where he was eliminated in the first round. The multiple French champion was able to console himself with a wild game with Emmanuel Macron and the president of Kazakhstan, who was making a state visit to France.
“Thank you for the invitation, thank you for these discussions! I had a great evening, I hope you did too”he wrote on his Instagram account, in the caption of the video revealing their ping-pong game. This invitation from the President of the Republic was a nod to the Kazakh President, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. As the former president of the Kazakh ping-pong federation, he is a fan of brothers Alexis and Félix Lebrun, as reported Free Midday.

After the Olympics, a new life for the Lebrun brothers
The Lebrun brothers shone this summer, during the Paris Olympic Games. The ping-pong prodigies were among the French people who shone the most. After the competition, the Montpellier residents confided that they took time with their loved ones and took advantage of their new notoriety, during an interview given to 7 Days TV. Alexis says more about the advantages offered by this new life. “We meet interesting people, we are invited to incredible previews like that of Inoxtagwe are recognized in the street…”he says. The Lebrun brothers still keep their feet on the ground: “We’re enjoying it, but there are so many competitions that we’re always focused on our sporting project.”
