Taha O., main suspect in Philippine's murder, was indicted for “murder accompanied by another crime”which makes him “incurring life imprisonment”indicated the Paris prosecutor's office, including Le Figaro was echoed. This 22-year-old Moroccan has also been indicted for repeat rape. He is currently appearing before a liberty and detention judge who must decide whether or not to detain him on remand.
According to information from BFMTV, the handover to the French authorities took place this Wednesday in Annemasse, in Haute-Savoie, on the Swiss border where he had been detained since his arrest. He was first brought to the premises of the border police, before being placed under the responsibility of the prison administration which was in charge of his transport to the Paris courthouse, where he was presented to an investigating judge. The individual, a 22-year-old Moroccan, was arrested at Geneva's main station on September 24, three days after the discovery of Philippine's body in the Bois de Boulogne. France had filed an extradition request on October 9, but the suspect, under an obligation to leave French territory (OQTF), refused it. On October 29, he finally accepted.
