The murder of Nicolas, 22 years oldin front of the Le Seven nightclub in Saint-Péray on Halloween night, was the subject of questions to the government this Tuesday, November 5 in the National Assembly. It is in particular the Ardèche Ciottist deputy Vincent Trébuchet who spoke at the start of the session. The elected official from North Ardèche recalled the circumstances of Nicolas’ death.

“You have to be blind not to see that the weapon that killed Nicolas came from drug trafficking which is taking the power that the Republic has left vacant” said Vincent Trébuchet. And to continue: “you have to be blind to deny the responsibility of mass immigration when the main suspect in Nicolas’s murder is a foreigner”not hesitating to give his first and last name.

He also spoke to Nicolas Daragon: “since 2014, what have you done as mayor of Valencia, which has become the hub of drug trafficking in the region?” Vincent Trébuchet recalled that the RN’s proposals were rejected, and also mentioned the other victims of violence from the Halloween weekend. He finally addressed the Minister of the Interior: “Mr. Retailleau, there is no point in talking about the Mexicanization of when we weaken the sovereign state. Words, always words”.

Response from the Minister of the Interior : “we have no right to make controversy in these cases. A man is dead”. For Bruno Retailleau, “For me, this is not a news story. When facts are repeated, they become social facts and we must interpret them as such”in turn recalling the death of Thomas Perotto a year ago in Crépol. And to respond to Vincent Trébuchet: “no territory is now preserved (…), do not doubt for a single second our determination to fight against drug banditry”.

Bruno Retailleau praised the work of the investigators, after the arrest of two suspects this Monday. The Minister of the Interior also explained that he had spoken to Nicolas’s mother on the phone, which he described as “impressive dignity in his suffering, in his pain”. “I assured him of the government’s sympathy and told him that we were available if needed” he continued.
