LOSC sold in the event of a good offer

How far away the time when Merlyn Partnersan investment fund based in London, took over LOSC in an alarming situation, in debt to the tune of 400 million euros and in a sporting situation far from being in good shape after the chaotic passage of Gérard Lopez. From, Olivier Letang was installed at the reins of the club and the sporting and economic vision of the club was redefined towards a more modern arc, with the promotion of players in training and post-training in order to recreate value and fill debts. Four years later, LOSC has paid off its debt and is back at the forefront in sporting terms with, among other things, a title of champion of in 2021 and several qualifications in the Champions League (2019/20, 2021/22 , 2024/25).

A healthy context, therefore. But which could also encourage resale. “ There is always a good time to buy and a good time to sellexplains Alessandro Barnaba, owner of LOSC via Merlyn Partners, to the Sports Gazette and in comments reported by our colleagues from The Voice of the North. Generally, we invest for 3 to 5 years. After cleaning up the accounts and consolidating the sports project, we are in a good period to sell, but we are in no hurry. If an interesting offer arises, we will consider it, otherwise we will continue.
