Piano that doesn't work, sound and microphone problems, the hiccups multiplied during the last bonus of the Star Academy. Mathieu Vergne, the producer of the show, explained the endemic on social networks.
The students of the Star Academy once again offered an impressive show during the fourth prime, thus closing the week of linked destinies. Among the highlights of Saturday November 2, Emma and Masséo, just returned from the NRJ Music Awards, performed “Angela” with Hatik. Patrick Fiori, Pascal Obispo, Hoshi and AaRON also shared new duets with the academicians. At the end of the evening, Marine and Ulysse were saved by the public after their duo performances, leaving Maïa and Thomas to compete solo. The students finally chose to save Maïa, leaving Thomas to leave the adventure. During the second prime, viewers regretted seeing few performances from Noah, although he was ranked in the top 3 pairs with Charles. Brilliant during his performance of “My other”, the young singer however encountered technical difficulties during his duet on “Le Temps des Cathédrales” with Patrick Fiori and Charles.
Charles (Star Academy) very embarrassed by his performance
Back at the castle, Noah returned to this annoying moment during the debriefing : “The negative is the technical problems… I started with nothing in my ears, no instrumental, just my voice in a cappella. I followed Patrick as best I could, but it was frustrating.” Attention was also focused on Charles, who reviewed his duet performance with Noah. “It’s horrible […] I want to cry“, he said, embarrassed. Marlène Schaff criticized him for a recurring problem of accuracy. The young man also spoke of technical difficulties during the premiere, explaining that he could not hear Noah well in his headset and that the musical accompaniment was not the same during rehearsals.
The producer of the Star Academy reacts to technical problems that occurred during the prime
Star Academy fans did not fail to point out the dysfunctions which may have destabilized the students on the set, in particular Charles and Noah. Mathieu Vergne, the producer of the show, wanted to explain this point on X: “Since 2001, people have been talking to me about the technical problems with the Star Ac'. Things have evolved enormously over the last 20 years of course! The famous ears are an enormous comfort for the students, they allow you to have the same sound as 'to rehearsals and personalized sound. The only problem is managing the sound of the public which passes through the students' microphone and which disrupts the settings. This is what apparently happened to Charles and Noah who did not hear the note that allowed them to leave a cappella and the countdown that allowed them to leave together. These are things that happen when singers sing live.”
