It was exactly 40 years ago. On November 4, 1984, viewers discovered a new channel. The first paid, Canal+. Five days later, football fans could finally watch a La Liga Division 1 match live, with the very first poster broadcast on Canal, Nantes-Monaco (1-0), at the Beaujoire stadium. In the comments alongside Charles Biétry, the journalist and future sports director of the encrypted channel, Michel Denisot. From this historic match to his appointment as deputy president of PSG in 1991, Berrichon has forgotten nothing.
