The Traveling Incident you tandem Samuel Sighicelli-Pierre Kuentz takes on its full dimension in today's broadcast, because the music of this lyrical suite, a sort of monodrama, was thought of in a single breath

The composer Samuel Sighicelli has a real attraction for the world of melody and Lied. This new page illustrates this attraction well, except that this time we find ourselves beyond the cycle of melodies. The Traveler incident takes us to the side of monodrama, of chamber opera. Moreover, the sequel was imagined as a fragment of a future opera, developed with the complicity of the same author.

The central character of this monodrama is a woman, played by Silk Andriamboavonjy. She actually plays several characters in one. She is this woman spectator – or victim? – a passenger incident in the Paris metro. This incident causes several flashes in her. She plunges back into her past and becomes the child she once was: a painful memory…

In the singer's score, the transition from one vocality to another (lyrical, spoken, whispered, etc.) and from one expressive register to another, is suggested by the composer by different ink colors.

For her part, the pianist Claudine Simonwhich also activates the electronic part, flows its game into the flow of the text and deploys soundscapes.
