France delivered nearly 30 tonnes of humanitarian aid this Friday for the benefit of the Lebanese civilian population, the Quai d’Orsay announced in a press release on Friday. France, for its part, has committed to mobilizing 100 million euros and deploying 100 tonnes of humanitarian freight. It had previously sent aid to Lebanon via two operations, including one in cooperation with Qatar. Nearly “40 tonnes of medicines, medical equipment and other essential goods” had been handed over “to Lebanese hospitals and international and local humanitarian NGOs”, according to French diplomacy.
