The actors of the Marvel film mobilized in a video to call on fans of the franchise to vote in favor of Kamala Harris on November 5.
Avengers, assemble! Less than a week before the American election, the actors of Marvel films gathered on video to call for votes in favor of the Democratic candidate.
In this sketch, published on October 31 on Instagram, Robert Downey Jr (Iron Man), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Hulk), Don Cheadle (War Machine), Chris Evans (Captain America), Danai Gurira (Okoye ) and Paul Bettany (the Vision) video call each other to try to come up with a campaign slogan for Kamala Harris.
“It's very similar to our dynamic in the movies. It was wonderful to see everyone come together to make this video, and I hope it inspires our fans to vote,” Scarlett Johansson told Vanity Fair to this video.
Hollywood mobilized
Since the start of her campaign, Kamala Harris has been able to count on the support of many Hollywood celebrities like Leonardo DiCaprio who published on October 25 a video calling for a vote for the candidate, criticizing Trump's environmental policy in passing.
Last July, George Clooney also assured that he was going to do “everything in (his) power to support Vice-President Harris” in her campaign while Tom Hanks declared on BFMTV that he had donated money for the campaign of Kamala Harris.
“Nothing is more important than what we do today, and what we are going to do on Tuesday (editor’s note, November 5),” he insisted.
Mark Hamill, Eva Longoria and Michael Keaton have also spoken out in favor of Kamala Harris by attending rallies of the Democratic candidate. The vice-president can also count on the support of Sarah Jessica Parker, Ben Stiller, Jennifer Lawrence, Samuel L. Jackson, Julia Roberts, Spike Lee, Jamie Lee Curtis or Anne Hathaway in the race for the White House.
