A few days after the floods which affected part of the south-east of Spain, the extent of the damage is revealed through images provided by satellites.
Disfigured landscapes, ravaged by heavy rains. In the Valencia region, a year's worth of precipitation fell in just three days. On satellite images, the extent of the damage is considerable. A few weeks before the bad weather, the landscape appeared green and bordered by clear water. Today, square kilometers are being swallowed up by rising waters.
In Valencia, the same chaos appears. An impressive pile of vehicles is piled up at a street crossing. A scene of desolation which forces the inhabitants to remain cloistered in their homes. Further south, the flood ravaged the village of Letur.
