Ligue 2. The match between and interrupted and postponed to a later date

The Corsican derby between and in Ligue 2 was interrupted this Saturday, October 26 after incidents in the stands, according to images from the broadcaster beINSports. The match, played in pouring rain, was stopped by the referee after the 40e minute of play, when the score was 0-0.

Supporters banned from traveling

Television images show a crowd movement in a stand, with several people leaving the stands towards the pitch to take shelter from the scuffles. A smoke bomb was also thrown onto the lawn. After the deployment of several CRS, calm was difficult to return to the stands.

The match had still not resumed 45 minutes after the referee’s decision and was finally stopped for good, before being postponed to a later date due to weather conditions. Bastia supporters, initially banned from traveling, defied the bans, which is said to be the cause of the clashes that occurred at the Michel-Moretti stadium.
