VIDEOS. War in Ukraine: One of the main sites of the Russian army, Ukrainian drones strike a major explosives manufacturing plant in Russia

During the night from Saturday to Sunday, Ukraine fired dozens of drones towards targets located deep in Russian territory, including the Moscow region as well as a major explosives manufacturing plant, reports said. Russian officials and Telegram accounts reported on Sunday.

Russian air defense batteries shot down 110 Ukrainian drones over Russia, including one in the Moscow region, 43 in the Kursk region and 27 in the Lipetsk region, the Defense Ministry said.

The SHOT account on Telegram reported that drones targeted the state-owned company Ya. Mr. Sverdlov in Dzerzhinsk, in the Nizhny Novgorod region about 400 kilometers east of Moscow. This factory is one of the main sites for manufacturing explosives used by the Russian army in the war in Ukraine. It is targeted by American and European sanctions. The regional governor said four firefighters were lightly injured by debris from a drone attack on an industrial zone in Dzerzhinsk, without specifying the exact target of the attack.

Overnight, more than 100 Ukrainian drones attacked various Russian regions.

The Russian Defense Ministry, for its part, reported the destruction of eight Ukrainian drones in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Residents reported large explosions and white smoke in the area of ​​the explosives factory, the SHOT account reported.

The mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, declared on Telegram messaging that debris had fallen in the vicinity of Ramenskoye, without causing any casualties or damage. Ukraine did not immediately comment on these drone attacks.
