Part of a wall collapses at the Beaublanc swimming pool in

More fear than harm for the divers who were in one of the pools of the Beaublanc swimming pool in at the time of the incident. After 9 p.m., Friday October 18, 2024, part of a wall suddenly collapsed onto a railing located above a pool.

Some debris was thrown to the ground. At that time, around ten members of a diving club were underwater. The Beaublanc swimming pool therefore closed its doors this Saturday, October 19, 2024. Pending a reopening, the Saint-Lazare swimming pool will welcome the public from this Saturday, October 19 and throughout the school vacation period. Sports activities will also take place in the municipal pools of Saint-Lazare. “This will allow us to secure the Beaublanc site and clean it” continues Sylvie Rosette.

In view of this event, the roofing work which was planned at the Beaublanc swimming pool for the summer of 2025 will be anticipated and should start by the end of the year.
