Nadège YE crowned best female journalist in Burkina Faso

The winners of the Marie Soleil prize carried by the Norbert Zongo National Press Center (CNP-NZ) and which rewards the best Burkinabè journalist each year are known. They were crowned on Friday October 18, 2024, during a ceremony.

For this 2024 edition, journalist Nadège Ye from Sidwaya editions is the winner of the Marie Soleil prize. It is with her work entitled “School Canteen in Burkina Faso, this dysfunction which starves the students” that Nadège Ye was able to convince the members of the jury.

The winner dedicated her prize to her media Les Editions Sidwaya. For her, this reward is the fruit of perseverance. “I am moved and I dedicate this award to Sidwaya. I was moved (…), it’s perseverance.

I don’t remember how many times I’ve applied for this award, but I’ve never won. And so, that does something. It’s better », she was delighted with this prize which recognizes her as best female journalist in the written press category.

Amandine Lalsaga

Amandine Lalsaga is also a winner: television category with her work “Emigration in Garango, the reverse of a departure”. “I am particularly pleased this evening that the work was appreciated by professionals in the field. It motivates me more. And that will lead me to more research to have more laurels “, she expressed her joy.

Nadège Ye leaves with the trophy, a certificate and the sum of 1,000,000 FCFA. And in the other categories, the winners include Amandine Lalsaga in the television category, Rasmata Ouédraogo in the radio category and Ivette Zongo in the online press category.
