In 2017, after thirteen years of good and loyal service, Sandrine Quétier slammed the door of TF1 to make a living from her primary passion, music. And the singer and musician, now 53 years old, will not reconsider her decision even if, financially, her income has melted like snow in the sun. The several thousand euros that fell into his bank account every month are ancient history…

“So how much do you get paid each time you play?”Maïtena Biraben asked him first. “A concert, between 150 euros and 200 euros”, replied Sandrine Quétier. The singer, who released a first album entitled Hard to Followadded that he had given around fifteen performances in recent times. We’ll let you do the math, at best she received 3000 euros.

“I knew I would have a drastic cut in my salary”

Sandrine Quétier’s confidences about her salary surprised the host. “The girl is punk. You don’t have any money but you’re super happy”she said on set. “Well yes!”then replied Sandrine Quétier with a smile on her lips. And it’s up to her to continue: “There’s nothing taken for granted and it’s a great recognition to fight and have someone tell you ‘ok I’m programming you. Ok your group is great, ok it’s great’ . The venues, the concerts that I do, that’s New York for me.”

I knew I would have a drastic cut in my salary. But I had put money aside. I had this luxury who allowed me to do this”had already declared the mother of Lola and Gaston to Ciné Télé Revue last June.
