Former One Direction star Liam Payne has died aged 31.
Liam Payne and Girls Aloud star Cheryl were once a picture of domestic bliss, especially after the birth of their son, Bear. Yet soon after Bear’s arrival, cracks began to appear and by 2018, the couple had separated.
This happened just a few months after Bear entered the world in 2017; Both stars have since peeled back the layers where things went wrong.
They first crossed paths in 2008 on the set of X Factor, with Cheryl perched at the judge’s table and 14-year-old Liam vying for stardom. They reconnected in 2015 amid Liam’s comeback with One Direction – the boyband that would propel him as an international idol.
Dreaming of fatherhood since his teenage years, Liam, 31, yearned for a simple life with Cheryl. Although he wasn’t keen to pursue a solo career after One Direction, at the urging of Cheryl, now 41, he took the plunge.
However, the tranquility quickly gave way to agitation. Liam even suggested that becoming a parent had “ruined” their romance, but for “all the right reasons”, reports the Mirror.
In a shocking turn of events, news of Liam’s untimely death broke this evening. While on vacation in Buenos Aires with his girlfriend Kate Cassidy, he allegedly tragically fell from the third floor of his hotel.
Rising to fame as part of the sensational One Direction alongside Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Niall Horan, Liam’s journey to global recognition began on the X Factor stage under the management of Simon Cowell.

Reports suggest Liam tragically fell from the third floor of a hotel in the Argentine capital. Emergency services including police, fire and ambulance were spotted outside the hotel following the incident.
Police were reportedly summoned following reports of a man behaving aggressively at the hotel, possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A body was discovered in the interior patio of the hotel. The hotel manager reportedly alerted the police.
Liam is believed to have fallen around 13 or 14 meters, suffering “very serious injuries incompatible with life”.
In a statement, the local ambulance manager told TN: “At 5:04 p.m., through the integrated public safety 911 system, we were alerted of a person who was in an interior courtyard of the management of a south house hotel. At 5:11 p.m., a SAME team arrived and found the man dead and later we discovered that he was a singer in a musical group. Unfortunately, he suffered injuries incompatible with life following his fall, so we had to confirm his death, there was no possibility of resuscitation.
The musician, who was on vacation in Argentina, had been delighting his fans on TikTok and Snapchat with recent updates alongside his girlfriend Kate Cassidy. However, rumors circulated about him and a close friend.
For the past few months, Liam, 31, has been traveling the world while hinting at new music for his fans.

Despite their split, Cheryl and Liam still shared a strong bond and wished the best for each other. Cheryl was reportedly “really worried” about her ex-partner after he was rushed to hospital, leading to the cancellation of his tour due to a serious kidney infection.
A Source close to the former Girls Aloud singer revealed: “Cheryl is really worried about Liam. As soon as she learned he was in the hospital, she feared the worst.
“She’s really protective of him and worried that no one will care for him.”
The insider suggested that her recent hospitalization served as a “red flag” for Cheryl, who understands the pressures of touring and making money, according to Heat magazine.
The former couple live next door to each other to co-raise their son Bear. Liam reportedly enjoyed quality time with Bear and appreciates Cheryl’s parenting style.
“She’s the best mom in the world. I couldn’t ask for anyone better,” he expressed on Logan Paul’s Impulsive podcast. He added: “I take my son to school once or twice a week and it’s the best thing. The relationship we now have as friends has only grown further.
“We broke up for a reason and now she gives me complete autonomy in my life and to do what I do and I know he’s [Bear’s] supported. He’s all there is to it and I couldn’t ask for more. They live three minutes from my house. I always stick to where he is. My life now is his. My money is his. He’s a sweet, sweet boy. We have been blessed.
Following their split, in an interview with Logan Paul, the One Direction star opened up about the end of his two-year relationship with Cheryl, saying: “To be honest with you, it ruined a relationship at that point, but for all the right reasons. »
He revealed that Bear’s birth was scary because Cheryl “hemorrhaged pretty badly” after giving birth.
This caused Cheryl to rest for most of Bear’s first day, leaving young Liam to care for their newborn son. “There was me and a baby in the room and I had to take care of it. It was fun,” he commented.
