It is a meeting initiated by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) of the country of and the Department of Bouches-du-Rhône. This Monday, on the occasion of the Rescountre d’Aqui, Rencontres d’ici en Provençal, the first floor of the convention center was transformed into a Provençal market. No less than 38 producers and artisans had set up their stands waiting to receive and exchange with tourism stakeholders. For one day, the objective was to promote “BtoB” meetings, a quick and easy way to connect local professionals and create commercial partnerships.

It is important for us to meet professionals, producers and artisans, so that hoteliers and restaurateurs can work with and promote the territory.“, declared Stéphane Paglia, president of the CCI, as he inaugurated the show. He then took the example of a producer who, thanks to a previous edition, is “entered into the map of the Arlatan hotel. This is exactly the kind of thing we want to create, and it’s proof that the show is effective“, he congratulated himself.

Provence Prestige for professionals

I tend to think that it is the Provence Prestige of professionals, declared Mandy Graillon, who represented the department. It’s the same core target: promoting the art of living in Provence, local products, artisanal products.“The only difference is that Provence Prestige is aimed at individuals. Li Rescountre d’Aqui targets tourism professionals, the region’s leading showcases.

Among the products on display, honey and bee products, chocolate and sugared almonds, Crau hay, oils, wines and beers, meats, donkey milk, antique-inspired jewelry, ceramics, pottery, decoration and wood engraving. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., owners of cafes, hotels, guest houses, restaurants or grocery stores wishing to promote the area and looking for short-circuit contacts were spoiled for choice. The exhibitors distributed their cards and left with contacts, even orders.
