A garage transformed into a workshop
Asked by Actu.fr, the firefighters return to this intervention. “An explosion was reported to us by several people around 3:15 p.m. in the village of Roquefort-des-Corbières,” begins the manager.
Quickly arriving on site, around thirty firefighters found “a single managed around sixty, present in his garage,” explains the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS).
Dead instantly
“In all likelihood, the man was tinkering alone in his garage, which he had transformed into a workshop. He was hit by the explosion that occurred there. We found that he was cardiorespiratory arrest», concludes the firefighter. Despite the arrival of a Samu team as reinforcement, the death of the sixty-year-old was confirmed shortly after.
