MISCELLANEOUS FACTS – It was a tragedy that shook all of . Young Lola, 12, was found dead in a trunk on October 14, 2022, a few hours after disappearing. His mother, who had never spoken in the media, spoke for the first time to Figaro in an interview published this Sunday, October 13 on his site.

Delphine Daviet-Ropital first explains that she is still on sick leave two years after the death of her daughter. During the tragedy, she was a caretaker of the building where she lived in the 19th arrondissement of . “I don’t feel capable of working again,” she explains.

“My life will always be complicated. I have trouble being in reality and I do everything not to be there”she continues, revealing that she cannot talk about the horror that her daughter suffered with her family. On the other hand, she is followed by a psychologist who “helps him a lot”.

“Why Lola? »

“It is above all thanks to my son Thibault that I care about, it is for him that I am still standing. (…) If my son wasn’t here, I wouldn’t be here anymore. He helps me hold on », she adds. Since the murder of Lola with whom she was “very fusional”Delphine Daviet-Ropital moved to Pas-de-Calais. “Recently, I started putting photos of Lola at home and looking at them”she says.

Lola’s mother then evokes another tragedy that occurred at the beginning of the year, the death of her husband who had fallen back into alcoholism since the sudden death of his daughter. “Unfortunately, his body didn’t hold up. We lost him from day one. We did everything and tried everything but there was nothing more we could do”she regrets. Johan Daviet died at the age of 49.

The trial should take place in 2025. Dahbia B. is indicted for murder and rape. Delphine Daviet-Ropital waits for “the other”, as she decided to call it, « paye » : « I’m waiting to know what she’s going to say, her answers. We always ask ourselves the question why. Why did “the other” do this? Why Lola? Why all this? For what ? »
